This moving program for string trio was created as part of Katie Yap's 2022 Freedman Fellowship project, 'Multitudes'. Featuring Simone Slattery, violin, Katie Yap, viola, and Anthony Albrecht, cello, three of Australia's most compelling musicians, 'Passenger Pigeons' explores the connections and tensions between humanity and nature; our hunger for progress when it comes up against the beauty and power of our natural environment around us, and the possibility for living within it rather than treating it as a resource.
