Serendipity & Spice
Fleurieu Peninsula
From $225.00
An interactive cooking workshop and lunch celebrating Sri Lanka’s vibrant vegetarian heritage using the best of South Australian produce.
Join The Green Gourmet and MasterChef Australia 2024 Finalist, Sav Perera, for an afternoon of interactive cooking, learning and feasting at Chapel Hill Retreat, McLaren Vale.
Andrea from The Green Gourmet Cooking School is well-known for transforming local produce into simple dishes that are as delicious as they are nourishing. Sav wowed judges and viewers during the 2024 season of MasterChef Australia, where she shone a light on Sri Lanka's enticing and largely undiscovered cuisine.
The workshop combines Sav’s deep-rooted passion for Sri Lankan food and skilled use of spice with Andrea’s natural curiosity about traditional food cultures and their link to community, health and joy.
As you cook together, you’ll learn how to create deliciously nourishing Sri Lankan meals with ease—whether for quick family meals or entertaining friends.
The final menu will be announced on social media closer to the date, but we guarantee there will be three delightfully different curries, a sambol or two, a vegetable mallung, rice in different guises, a fun flatbread for you to try your hand at, and a little nourishing sweet (but not too sweet!) something to finish with.
Your workshop includes a shared vegetarian feast with Chapel Hill wines and a recipe booklet to take home.
