Coorong, River & Lakes Experience

This is your chance to experience the Coorong, River and Lower Lakes in the most unique way. Two departures leaving the Goolwa wharf, travel meeting at the middle, providing the opportunity to view the beautiful scenery this area has to offer.

Jump on board the “Spirit of the Murray” travelling upstream with Goolwa on one side and Hindmarsh Island on the other. Travel through to Meningie with highlights along the way such as Point Sturt into Australia’s largest freshwater lake, Lake Alexandrina, the first Aboriginal Mission in Australia ‘Raukkan’ and the historic Point Malcolm Lighthouse & the township of Narrung as we enter the “narrows” joining Lake Alexandrina & Lake Albert.

Once in Meningie bus transfer to ‘Spirit of the Coorong’ vessel at Long Point Jetty. From here guests are treated to the stunning views of the Coorong National Park, outstanding in its beauty and serenity. Guests will travel past the Murray Mouth, past barrages and islands, The journey brings you through the lock at Goolwa for your return to the Historic Port.
