On this seven-day tour we visit some of the best destinations in South Australia. We begin with two days on Kangaroo Island, followed by a day touring the McLaren Vale and a day touring the Clare Valley, and two days in the Flinders Ranges and Wilpena Pound.
Tour highlights include Penneshaw and Kingscote. Seal Bay guide beach walk amongst Australian sea lions. White sand dunes at Little Sahara. Vivonne Bay base of the crayfish and game fishing boats. Flinders Chase National Park native animals and birds. Koalas at Rocky River. Cape du Couedic lighthouse (1906). New Zealand Fur Seals at Admirals Arch. Remarkable Rocks huge granite boulders. Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park (optional) privately owned collection of native animals and birds. Return to the mainland. Travel to Victor Harbor walk along historic causeway to Granite Island. Wine tasting in the McLaren Vale and Clare Valley. Wilpena Pound. Kanyaka Ruins and Death Rock. Yourambulla Caves Aboriginal rock painting. Bushwalk to Wangarra Lookouts and Hill Homestead. Travel geological trail through the Brachina Gorge. Taste Australian food at the Prairie Hotel Parachilna. Return to Adelaide via Port Augusta, arriving in Adelaide at approximately 6pm.
