The Moonta Mines Museum is located in the former Moonta Mines Model School.
Erected in 1878, this building now houses displays on the Cornish miners' lifestyles - mining, lodges and friendly societies, sports and pastimes, death and hardship
Other exhibits include extensive displays of costume, china, silverware, photographs and memorabilia and a classroom furnished circa 1900. There is also a display on the World Wars.

<p>Welcomes and assists people who have challenges with learning, communication, understanding and behaviour. (includes people with autism, intellectual disability, Down syndrome, acquired brain injury (ABI), dyslexia and dementia)</p><p>Caters for people with sufficient mobility to climb a few steps but who would benefit from fixtures to aid balance. (This includes people using walking frames and mobility aids)</p><p>Caters for people who use a wheelchair.</p>
