Looking to make the trip to Adelaide Oval? We caught up with ex-Wallabies captain Michael Lynagh, AM, to get his top tips for exploring Adelaide beyond the game.

One of Michael’s top stays is the Oval Hotel, located within the iconic Adelaide Oval. “Seeing the original heritage listed scoreboard and chatting to the ground staff about the preparations being made for the Lions tour was really special,” he said. Putting you mere steps away from the action this venue, known for hosting international cricket fixtures and Australian Rules Football, will host The British and Irish Lions vs Invitational AU and NZ XV on July 12, 2025. Featuring spacious rooms and its own restaurant Five Regions, guests can dine from a seasonal menu while enjoying panoramic views of the world-class pitch.

Writers Tip: Just 400 metres from the Central Business District, Adelaide Oval's proximity to the city makes it one of the most easily accessible stadiums in the country. Book your stay at the Oval Hotel and you'll be steps away from the field and the city’s bustling food and bar scene.
